Advertising - The Truth and the Myth

The Truth about advertising in simple, you must advertise to bring people to your Website. The Myth about advertising is that it must cost a lot to be worthwhile.

In my many years working on the web, I have experienced multiple ways to advertise my various websites. Early on, I was caught in the hype of paying top dollar to advertise everyday for a million or so hits. With no download required, I thought I found my advertising answer for only $50.00.

For two weeks I merrily advertised my heart out, receiving only 4 or 5 hits a week to my website. In the beginning of the third week, I went to the advertising site that took my money and the site was no longer there. That's right-gone. Website could not be found. In other words they took my $50. and ran.

The ten hits I received did not produce any sales and cost me $5.00 per hit! Thus started by hunt for Free/very cheap advertising

Traffic Exchanges: I tried them, but they never worked for me. The reasons they do not work for obtaining quality leads/sales are as follows:

1. You site must load fast or no one will see it. 2. The people using the traffic exchanges are just clicking around like you are trying to get credits. You may get hits but unless you are lucky you will not get a sale.

Remember: You can get 20,000 hits, but if none produced a sale- What good were the hits? You need quality hits not

quantity.

I recently rejoined a popular Traffic Exchange. I wanted to run a test and see how long customers stayed at my site. The result 55% of my hits stayed less then 5 seconds! The 55% all came from the traffic exchange. Again, they were empty hits, worth nothing!

Here is what I found that does work! Google Ad sense of course E-zine Publishing This I found to be the best either free or 2 bucks http://hop.clickbank.net/?works/paaads http://subscribeme.net/ Automatic submitter- Great submits to classifieds, FFAs Search engines in all countries for $10. a month its well worth it. http://www.worldwidepromoter.com/ Blastomatic- good but not great, but I use it anyway. It is free and it's Supposed to submit to 20,000 various classifieds and FFAs. You will get some traffic...Free so why not. http://www.etoolsonline.net

Happy advertising and remember if you think you have to pay for advertising Look for the free or very inexpensive type of advertising. very inexpensive kind. They work.
