Hi there, Bride-to-be! Remember the time, (maybe quite some time ago,) when you first started dreaming about getting married? Do you remember how your dreams were about yourself, floating down the aisle in a fairy-tale bridal dress, having the most beautiful smile on your face, and carrying yourself like a Princess, with a fairy-tale Princess' figure? Today you may find yourself having given up trying to maintain a great figure. You've been through it all: tried Diets, Exercising, Everything. And you've given up. And you're about to settle for a figure that is less, much less, than the best you've ever had. Listen: You obsessed over what the Wedding Cake will look like. You still stress out over whether you've chosen the right Menu. You even lose sleep over whether the Reception Venue will be alright. But what about the Centre-Piece of your Wedding which is You, the Bride: Are You Going To Look Your Best? What happened to your dreams of being a Princess, a Beautiful Goddess on your Wedding Day? Where did those dreams go? Every Bride has the Right to look 110% Fantastic on her Wedding Day, but far too many Brides settle for having Less than their very Best Figure on their Wedding Day. No Bride should EVER have to SETTLE for that "Big Girls' Wedding Dress" or "Plus Size Wedding Dress" (unless that is what she Absolutely Wants for her Wedding Day). As a Woman, every day that you step out of your home, you feel the need to look Classic, whether you're just going to work or to a formal party. Are you, on your Wedding Day, You who will be the Center-Piece, the Focus of your Wedding, will you look Fantastic,Sexy, a Princess Bride? You know that you owe it to yourself to be the Best You that you can ever be! If you settle for less, will you EVER get anything better for yourself (or your family) for the rest of your life? Do you want to settle down to accepting the everyday, humdrum, boring life that everybody (at least 95% of the population of this earth)accepts? Are you still with me? Great! Because there is a light. I'm talking about a figure, trim, taut and sexy, for you. And believe me, this is possible, even though you may not have seen such a figure on yourself for ages (or never ever). The only real way out of overweight (or whatever you want to call it) is to start from the inside: from your brain. You see, some people out ther don't seem to have ANY problems staying at their ideal weight. This may be for very few of us, but there definitely are some who do this quite easily. For these persons, their "inner values" are attuned to being slim; i.e., for these persons, it is QUITE IMPORTANT that they be slim. And because their "inner self" has got the idea that "trim is what I am and what I want to be", their "inner self" does that for them quite easily, unconsciously choosing the amount and kinds of foods that they eat, as well as the amount and kind of exercise they should do. On the other hand, most of the population has been "corrupted". Think about this: We may have grown up with the inner value that it's great to be slim/trim/sexy looking. But our environment, our friends or work mates, advertisements and so many other external inputs cause our inner self to, slowly and imperceptibly, change its values. Advertisements in particular are the leading cause of value change, because they are so persistent, especially with the rise of TV. These Advertisements, by dint of their persistence, get our inner self believing that what they say is true. And then when we get to the shops, there we go, choosing the products that we've seen advertised. I firmly believe that the incredible increase in obesity in the USA, Australia, and other countries is actually a triumph of the marketing ability of the food industry. Such a large percentage of TV advertises food, and we buy it, and eat it: ice-creams, calorie-filled soft drinks, pizzas, canned pre-prepared sauces that save us time, you name it, bombard us, daily on TV, eaten by beautiful, cool, slim and trim people and the next thing we know we are buying the stuff in bucketfuls and consuming without thinking twice about the results of such consumption. Basically, our "inner self" has been taken for a ride by "forces" that have other than our best interests at heart. We have lost control and the result is that we're now looking for a dress that is much larger than that Fairy-tale princess dress: a Plus-size dress or the Big-Bride's dress that may make us look like a walking Bombe-Alaska. If you want to look like a Princess bride, if you want to take control of your weight FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE as well without trying (and failing with) diets that never work, you need to grab back your life from the conditioning that you have been subjected to. Instead of doing things without thinking of the consequences, you can become a "Thinking Machine". Instead of being an "Auto-Robot" that (maybe) someone else would like to create and use for their own ends, you can take charge. You can help your "inner self" to change your values to those of being trim and healthy. And the weight will fall away to a level that you are happy with, without struggling, without dieting. You can be in control of Your Health, Overflowing with Confidence and Happiness: in short, the Queen of your Life. And, so importantly, that is what you can pass on to your Family and the generations to come: great Health, Confidence, Joy, and a Winning Attitude. Sounds like so much Hot Air? You have nothing to lose, and much to gain. Get started on re-taking control of your mind, and becoming highly aware of yourself, the actions and inactions that lead to being overweight, or unfit. Think about it: All of our actions or inactions have led us to where we are today. It's time to take control, to become aware of what WE really want, and consciously do it, instead of being a puppet to marketing or other forces. It's all about winning back ourselves. Becoming Conscious. About the author: Melroy Drego has created a set of articles that can help just anybody to lose weight, if used conscientiously.
