Does A Woman Have A Place?

Does a Woman Have "A Place?"
On an episode of the TV Show "Divorce Court," I watched as a very arrogant man proceeded to explain to the judge why he felt women had "a place." He explained that women shouldn't work, they shouldn't run for any public offices because they were ignorant to the fact, and they are put in this world to take care of their husbands and their kids.
It is sad that there are still men in this world that think women are going to take a back seat to them. We can do whatever they do and sometimes better. Women are CEO's and Presidents of companies now all over the world and growing. We are getting more educated and studies have shown that women run and manage companies better than men. They can't stop us. We are taking over!
We are doctors, lawyers, nurses, writers, directors, constructions workers, sanitation workers, fighting for our countries in the Army, Marines, Navy and Airforce. It's not going to stop. Some men say that they want a woman who works, but when you show your independence, there's a problem all of a sudden. When he observes the fact that there isn't much he can do for you except for satisfy your sexual appetite (and sometimes you can even do this alone), he runs and flees for the nearest exit. Why? He wants a woman that he can control. Some men can appreciate a hard-working woman and love that some women are independent; however, sometimes many of them make the statement, "You are TOO Independent." What do they want from us?
Some of these men want a woman that works, come home to cook and clean, and take care of the kids. They don't want to help you, but they don't want you to become too independent either. They are threatened by the fact if they left you today or tomorrow, you could take care of yourself and the kids just fine without them. They

do not understand that you are with them because you want to be, not because you have to be. They also do not understand that women are emotionally stronger and can and will deal with them leaving. You may be hurt for a couple days or weeks, but once you are over that, it's really over. Your mind has become stronger and your heart guarded.
Women are special people. They can do whatever they want whenever they want. There is no burden too heavy or no pain too difficult that a woman can't handle. There is no obstacle in life that a woman can't overcome. The day a man can work sixteen hours a day, come home and take care of the house, take the kids to soccer practice, go to the grocery store, attend school meetings, and most of all deliver a baby, that's the day a woman will have "a place."
