Of course, you have to understand that barking is a natural way for the puppy or dog to communicate, both with you and with other dogs. ü When the dog is locked up in a confined space (such as a dog crate), whining and barking will be more frequent. Try to avoid keeping the dog locked up as such if possible and try to educate him, from puppy stage, that barking for hours won't solve the problem. ü Dogs are social animals - their barking is a call to socialization on many occasions.
